What do we mean “Come… Encounter God?”
At Immanuel, our mission is to lead people into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ. Our two Sunday morning worship services are a key part of advancing that mission. The specific goal for our worship service is that you would encounter God each week. We want that encounter to be a first step in developing an ongoing, life-changing relationship with Him.
In our culture, we’re accustomed to worshiping everything from our hobbies to our pets to our favorite talk show hosts. The bottom line for us at Immanuel is that God is WAY bigger and better than any of that stuff. We believe that we’re here to put God’s greatness on display. That’s what our Encounter God worship service is all about.
What does this mean for me?
The Encounter God worship service is the main ‘entry point’ into the life of Immanuel. There are no pre-conditions for our guests. We welcome you as you are, so come as you are. Every week you’ll receive relevant teaching from the Bible that applies directly to your life. Our music is designed to help you focus on and respond to the greatness of God. If you have children, they can encounter God in our specially designed Ignite Children’s Worship Center. For your babies, our nursery is staffed by trained, loving women who nurture a safe, caring environment.
We believe that in providing opportunities for all to Encounter God through our Come worship experience, and to Grow together in our Community Groups, that our members are equipped to Go engage their World for Christ!
